PHP, as a programming language, is not often seen at Oracle's conferences, but we are here to put this injustice right. And with the right timing: this year, both HROUG and PHP celebrate 20 years of their existence! This presentation will clarify what PHP is, where it is now and where it is going, and how it is going there. Particular attention will be paid to the fact that Oracle loves it and shows this by providing special support with extensive documents and a number of tools. We will also speak about Facebook and explain what the connection is between these two. In the second part of the presentation we will explain why PBZ uses PHP and Oracle for/in more than 50 of its in-house applications, and provide specific examples of why there will be even more of them in the future. The answer to the question in the title will reveal itself in the end: all of these three companies like PHP!
