This session will explore best practices for using the SQL* family of tools which includes 3 main utilities: SQL*Plus Oracle’s oldest default tool for accessing the database using a basic command-line interface, SQL Developer Oracle’s free GUI IDE that simplifies the development and management of the Oracle database and offers a complete end-to-end productivity tool for both traditional and cloud deployments, and the latest Oracle’s SQLcl Java-based command line interface which is considered to be the SQL*Plus for the 21st century as it takes the existing Java based script engine from SQL Developer, along with a new command line interface that does most of what SQL*Plus offers, plus lots of new and cool GUI features taken from SQL Developer.The session will include real life examples as well as live demonstrations and best practices for using some very handy commands, scripts and features for all three tools while leveraging and enriching your day-to-day productivity making your database development and administration tasks much easier and faster.
