At HrOUG, all participants always have an alternative. The island is large and you can always find another space with content that is more suitable for your taste.

During the opening, we will have the opportunity to play an interesting game.
The Ultimate Useless Facts of Oracle Quiz
The idea is that all participants who will be at the opening of the conference take part in the quiz.
The quiz will be played in a couple of rounds, and after each round the winner will win an appropriate prize.
I believe that we will start another HrOUG conference with laughter and in good will.
After the opening of the conference and dinner, we start with the evening gathering in the hotel foyer and congress hall
Cocktail Night - school and competition
„Less is more, don't decorate cocktails like Del Boy (From TV show Only Fools and Horses)!
the lecturer at Badel's Cocktail MasterClass, bartender Mario Majcen, who fell in love with cocktails as a high school student, will explain it to you. He was enchanted by Tom Cruise's role as a bartender in the movie "Cocktail", after which he decided to become the best bartender.
He spent years training movements, and combining flavors. He was Croatian champion 4 times and vice world champion in the Flair category. Flair is the skill of preparing cocktails with animation and a show.
Today, Mario is a brand ambassador for Badel 1862 and a teacher at a catering school.
How did we imagine the cocktail making competition?
16 teams (4-5 members in a team) can participate in the Cocktail Night. When registering for their team, they must choose the name of the team, which is also the name of the place where they will prepare cocktails.
After the head bartender's instructions, each team will have 20 minutes to make their cocktail. The team must name the cocktail, make 3 identical cocktails and present their cocktail in 3 minutes. The better the story the better.
An expert jury will evaluate the cocktails. Every cocktail should meet three basic rules. The look of the cocktail, aroma and smell, and finally the taste of the cocktail are evaluated. For a cocktail to be good, it must meet all three parameters. In addition to the cocktail itself, the competition also evaluates professional work, i.e. how well the team members know how to make it.
The teams will be divided into 4 groups, and the jury will announce the winning team from each group that will advance to the finals.
As Cocktail Night is the first evening of the conference, it would be great if before arriving at the conference, you would agree on who the team members are and register your team for Cocktail Night when you arrive at the accreditation desk.
The first three teams will win valuable prizes.
Klapa Intriga
We haven't had a sort of traditional Croatian band called KLAPA at the conference for a really long time.
That's why we hired Klapa Intriga from Rijeka, for which we have only heard words of praise. They have been singing together for many years. Great professionals come in full force to evoke the richness of polyphonic singing.
If you were wondering what exactly a klapa song is, here is the detailed information:
Klapa songs are homophonic, a capella chants, recognizable by their internal musical structure - the movement of the melodic lines of the voices, the harmonic construction and the content of the chant texts. The most common polyphonic form of klapa songs is three-part and four-part, a tight harmonic syllable that almost always ends in third position, the chord by which klapa endings are recognizable. The songs are sung in major, the harmonic basis of which is the tonic, dominant and subdominant four-tone, or three-tone. The melody of the song is always followed by the second voice in thirds, while the third voice, the baritone, has the task of filling the chord. The task of the bass is to clearly indicate the harmonic functions in the basic position.
The lyrics of klapa songs are mostly about love, and they range from poetic, cheerful, optimistic and humorous to overly sentimental lyrics.

One of the first things everyone notices is the beautiful illustrations of the Magic cards, the world of Magic is a fantasy world that is very similar to the fantasy worlds you've seen in a lot of movies, comics, and games.
At the JavaCro conference, in the Board game corner this year, they will be able to try Magic with our complex decks, but you can also try to dethrone our JavaCro champion in MTG.
We invite everyone who plays Magic to bring their best deck. A weaker deck than the best will not be enough to win :-))
Playstation 5
We will also bring the latest edition of the Playstation console PS5 with two controllers to the conference.
You will be able to play soccer with Luka Modrić in FIFA 2023 or basketball with Luka Dončić in NBA 2K23 during the day next to the accreditation desk, and also at evening gatherings.
WEDNESDAY
Dance school by Elio Bašan
Under the guidance of Elio Bašan, lecturer and examiner, honorary member of the Society of Dance Teachers, president of the Croatian Association of Dance Teachers, member of the jury of the popular HRT show "Dance with the Stars", take the opportunity to learn the basics of Salsa, Bachata and Disco Hustle. Surprise your friends or family at your next party by dancing like John Travolta in the movie “Saturday Night Fever”.
We purposely chose Wednesday for the dance school, so that they could try out the learned dance steps one more time on Thursday when top entertainers L'amour band come to us.
DJ Nikša
DJ Nikša will play dance music. Maybe it wouldn't be a bad idea to bring towels to wipe off the sweat, because when DJ Nikša gets you into his tune, he doesn't let you go until the last atom of strength.
Tournament in Belot
Tables for the tournament in the Croatian card game Belot tournament will be set up. Teams will be able to register at the accreditation desk or by emailing [email protected]

Sightseeing Rovinj (Optional)
If there is interest and good weather before lunch, we will organize a short tour of the city of Rovinj with a local tour guide who speaks English.
If you or your better half would like to go on a tour, you should sign up for it at the accreditation desk on Wednesday. Tour is free of charge.
L'amour band
PARTY IN THE CASTLE with a band that traditionally entertains the participants of the HrOUG conference. Of course, it is the best band in the Primorje-Gorski Kotar County for weddings, divorces and other celebrations, L'AMOUR BAND.
They have been to HrOUG conferences many times and have never failed. With them, good fun, dance, and singing are guaranteed.

DJ Nikša will play music every time when L'amour band will take a break.
Texas Hold'em poker
